“I dream. Sometimes I think that's the only right thing to do.”
Ren Montoro was born in a small town in Florida but raised in Santiago, Chile. By the time Montoro was 8, she was performing in school plays, which ignited her love for acting.
Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, Montoro was cast in the play, The Blood of Macbeth, which KCRW's Anthony Byrnes named one of the top 5 shows to see in 2012.
Since making her LA stage debut, Montoro has kept busy both writing and acting. This year she performed in Sacred Fools Mainstage show Tangerine Sunset, and later the immersive show Vote For Murder! which won Fringe's award for Best Immersive Show. You can also watch Montoro in Hallmark's show The Eleventh acting opposite Cloris Leachman and in the horror feature Pledges.
Currently she's in post production with a new sketch that she wrote, produced, co-directed, and acted in. She has a few other writing projects in development at this time, one a play that she is planning to produce for Fringe 2020 in Los Angeles.
Aside from acting, Montoro enjoys drinking her weight in coffee, traveling, dabbling in photography, and writing.
