LA Coffee Shops
How have I never written about my favorite coffee shops? I spend 90% of my time at coffee shops and I'm always on a mission to make it to new shops when they open. Below I've written a list of my favorite coffee shops in town (in no particular order):
1)Paramount Coffee Project- typically I like to judge a place by their Americano's but this place makes a MEAN almond milk latte. The spot is just cozy enough and they've got a full food menu, though I'm partial to their avocado toast. I'm not entirely certain what makes their avo toast so unique, but trust me when I say that it's delicious.
2)Go Get Em Tiger- GGET serves 49th Parallel coffee, which is hands down a favorite of mine. 49th Parallel has a rich assortment of beans, the region they come from truly affects the taste in the best way possible (no Starbucks style beans where everything taste the same). GGET brews their coffee just right. My go to here is their Americano with steamed almond milk, which they make in house.
3)Civil- I'm a huge fan of Highland Park, there incredible food and coffee spots sprouting up on the reg in the area (bonus that so many spots are vegan friendly!). Civil's decor is utterly adorable, tiled floors that have no doubt been featured in many a Instagram pictures ,and the blue accents are a nice touch. This is one of the highlights of the area and a great spot to work while drinking your afternoon joe. I wish that I lived closer so that I could make more often.
4)Triniti- Triniti is a newer discovery for me, I've been once and I'm already hooked. At this shop they make a black sesame seed cappuccino, which is an absolute dream. When I went I ended up having two of these even though it was too hot for hot coffee. The place isn't necessarily the comfiest to sit in for long periods of time, but that isn't going to stop me from going back...very, very soon.
If you haven't been to any of these, you need to change that ASAP!
